Goofy Me

I've been searching for some recent pictures of myself and have found none. So today I took my camera and stood against the side of our house and snapped away.....Be warned! I can get pretty goofy! :P But I think they look good. :)

This is my new profile picture :D

I love this one :P

Tough girl.....

This is my absolute favorite!

I normally don't like black and white pictures of me, but this one is great!

Rehearsals are going good, tomorrow we are running through the whole show....AAH! I also need to start REALLY need to work on projection {talking louder} I think  I got the hang of it but we'll see tomorrow night. :P

Paul {who plays "George"} at the base of the ladders onstage while adjusting the backdrop on Wednesday.

 Chuck {who plays "Mr. Gower" and is the stage manager} onstage from a reflection in a mirror. As seen from backstage}

Do any of you guys watch "The Extreme Makeover: Home Edition"? If you do, wasn't tonight's episode awesome!? Though it was a little scary for my little sisters {M and T}.... But it was sweet! :)

Good-night all!
Love,
Josie

On Cloud Nine

Here's my entry for On Cloud Nine

Doesn't this make you drool? :)

Rehearsals

I'm so glad I did it...I asked Mr. Director{Dennis} if I could take pictures during rehearsals {I've been meaning to ask him for a long time!} and I asked him last night and he said yes! :) So here are some pictures from Act II of "It's A Wonderful Life"... *Note* the pictures are really grainy because they were taken inside and the light was funky, but w/ a black and white effect it doesn't really show and adds to the feel of the 1940's ...Enjoy!

About the Movie Quote Contest....

Since I've only had 3 guessers {good job guessers!} I've decided to extend the contest until Friday, so come on over and guess {if possible} :)

Faded Ink

I was trying to get tired last night {I felt wide awake, even after rehearsals} and I was figuring out one of my photo editing soft ware and I found the actions section of Adobe 8.0 and I clicked on "Actions" and one of the actions was titled "Faded Ink Vignette" and I played it and this is what I got:

Before:

After:

What do you think?
And does anyone know how to use different actions like this? I really like it but I have no idea how to play it in Adobe Elements 8.0... If anyone could help me that'd be so great! :)
Love,
Josie

Brilliance

How's this for color brilliance?

I love the almost- bokeh effect on this picture!

 My iPod...named "Elphaba"
{or that's what I'd like to think. She mostly responds by the name: where are you?"

This picture almost makes my eyes green, I actually have like a gray-blue eye color

Love,
Josie

I've Done It!

Okay, you know how I asked you all if you'd be willing to read a photography blog by me? Well, thanks to the response I got, I made a Project: 365 blog and I named it "Still Memories".

So now that I have created the blog,  the questions is: when should I launch it? I was thinking either on January 1st, right now, or right after Thanksgiving. I'm going to put up a poll so you all can vote on this...So please check it out! :)

A Give-Away!

Hannah over at Aspire is having a totally awesome give-away.... so what are you waiting for? Go on over!

Movie Quote Contest

These are so fun.... I've done a couple and it's  blast! This oe, I wrote it on my own and it's a collection of my favorite movie quotes from my favorite movies. :) For hose of you that haven't done this before here are the rules {actually everyone need to read these before you guess!}:

The Rules:
1. Leave me a comment telling me the name of the movie AND the number of the quote. {So I know which quote you're referring to.}  :)

2.PLEASE do not look up the quote online or post on Facebook asking for the answer... You can ask family members but that's it! Outside of that it is called: CHEATING! :P

3. *Reminder*: You HAVE to tell me the name of the movie and the quote number!
4. The contest ends on Tuesday, October 26th. And I will post the answers and who correctly guessed the answers.

Here we go! Here are the quotes:

1.) Character #1: I think "scat" is poop.

Character #2: Really, son?

Correcter #1: Yeah.

Character #3: You wiped poop on my face?

Character #2: Yeah. Scat happens, man.

2.) Character #1: Teach me to ride like a man.

Character #2: And chew tobacco like a man.

Character #1: And spit like a man!

Character #2: What, they didn't teach you that in finishing school?

3.) Character #1: The day they cut the football budget in this state, that will be the end of Western Civilization as we know it!

7.) Character #1: "Happy"? Did your grandson say "Happy"?

8.) Character #1: Let them have outer space. We got rock 'n' roll.

9.) Character #1:  Love is fragile. And we're not always its best caretakers. We just muddle through and do the best we can. And hope this fragile thing survives against all odds.

11.) Character #1: I'm tired! My knee hurts!

Character 2: That's right, a great big UMPH!

13.) Character #1:  How can you taint a cancerous can of chemicals?

Good luck to everyone, happy guessing!

Bare Branches

This is what I always feared about fall: the bare branches. I mean, how does a "naked" tree look as magnificent as it does in the summer as it does in the summer with all those green leaves creating a canopy. That's what  I think, I agree even more so now that we moved out into the country and there are more trees here than in a subdivision so you can see it alot more.....Which I don't really like but I deal w/ it all for about seven months. :)

But this fall has been different, I went out and took pictures of it and I saw how beautiful a closeup of a bare branch can be, take a look....

                                                             Along the forest floor

I love the white of the bark

I love the color of this shot

Little buds or flower-ish things, whatever they were they're pretty

Solar lamps along the path to the front door

Needle felted "LOVE" letters, I was going to put them on a bag I have but I didn't like how it looked

I've Been Inspired!

Okay, I've been looking around at different blogs and some of them have separate blogs that they post pictures on daily or try to at least.... Well, all that inspired me to wonder if a daily photography blog would be worth it. And I'm thinking it is but I want to know what you all think! So please let me know if you have one of your own or if you'd like to read something like that! :)

Dice

My mom collected dice as a kid..... I never knew that until today when I saw a huge basket filled w/
six-sided dice. They were all colors and sizes, I just knew I had to take some pictures!

                     This dice reminds me of mint-chip ice cream {it's actually  supposed to glow in the dark}

I love the sepia and the little tiny dice on top of the tower.....

These dice remind me of pink lemonade

                                                                         Red dice!

Since Monday, we've been cleaning the upstairs of our barn {it was a pit before!} and we found some old video recorder tapes from the late 1990's that Mommy had recorded video from her video camera she carried around alot when I was little.

And so while we ate lunch we watched one of the old tapes and we saw me as a to year old, my Grandma Cindy {Mommy's Mom who died last year}and my Grandpa Doug {who was Daddy's dad and died in about 2003, I hardly remember him} but we saw all of our family {aunt's uncles, and cousins} all younger by 12 years and moving around living their lives.

My mom kept scrapbooks when us kids were younger and we all have them memorized, many of the pages have what we saw moving on the television screen. It was like a moving scrapbook. It was so cool!

So this afternoon we watched a ton of videos Mommy has taken; we watched Mommy ad Daddy's wedding, and the CChristmas tape from 1998 and another tape from July 1998. It was so neat to see Grandma Cindy and Grandpa Doug moving, talking and living their lives with the rest of us on the tape. So, it almost feels like I've taken a trip in the "Imagination Station" :)

That's all for now..... Play practice tonight :P We are doing the whole Act II which is my favorite! :)
