LoVe NeVeR DiEs
Hello, I broke my promise...I'm posting while on vaca. Oh, well. I'm a bit bored, it's raining here and we are having a laid back afternoon. The kids are watching "the Mouse Trap" it is hilarious! Love it! I also watched "Mamma Mia" this morning....I loved it! :) Enough about the movies I've been watching, I have something really exciting to share!
Okay, last Spring I discovered something wonderful, well at least to a Phantom of The Opera "phan" Like me!}. I found out that Mr. Andrew Lloyd Webber was working on a sequel to POTO and would be called Love Never Dies. Starring some of my favs {Sierra Boggess and Ramin Kramiloo}To read the story line *note: some spoilers* search for it on Wikipedia. Anyway, I was getting worried it would be a flop and I would hate the music. If you ever look for the LND album there will alsways be people who say it's trash and awful, but there are always reviews like that and so it's hard to know if they are right or not. So I went out on a limb and got the music {still woried that it would be a waste of $18} I listened and was blown away! The musical, Andrew Lloyd Webber hopes, is and can be a stad-alone piece. And it can be veiwed as such but there are some notes scattered in the score from POTO and it gives you a surge of recogniziation and you feel great. But it is awesome, I recomend it to any "Phan" :) Or to any Broadway lover.
Here are some awesome videos to show what it's all about it and I will list them in the order they came out, so here we go!
The press launch last fall:
Ramin Karmiloo singing "Till I Hear You Sing" :)
The Trailer for the London production:
Opening night!!!!
The show is playing in London only right now but the Broadway production is planned to open in the fall, I can't wait to see it!
Wow, i wrote a lot! But this musical is really good, so I hope all you "phans" get to hear about this and become as excited as I am!

SoMe Of My FaVoRiTe AcToRs
Here are some pictures of my favorite actors/actresses. I;m going to put their picture and what role they've played that I love....... Note:I do not own any of these pictures!
Brian D' Arcy James- Titanic:the Musical* and Shrek the Musical
Laura Osnes- South Pacific*
There is much controversy on who's a better Phantom in Phantom of the Opera* {the choices are Gerard Butler in the movie version or Michael Crawford star of the original cast} My vote goes to Michael Crawford as shown here. His voice is unbelievable!
Jake Gyllenhaal- October Sky
Antonio Banderas- Take the Lead
Kirk Cameron- Fireproof , the Left Behind movies
Brian Stokes Mitchel- Ragtime*
Teal Wicks- Wicked*.We saw her in Wicked and she was amazing, even better than Idina Menzel. Sorry Idina!

GrEaT MuSiC I've GoTtEn ReCeNtAlLy
I've gotten some great music recently and I wanted to share what it was. Random? Yes, but I LOVE the music I got. I have to admit, I got some of the Glee music and I L-O-V-E it! It is all so good!
From the Vol. 2 CD I got "Don't Rain On My Parade". Lea Michelle sings and it and is amazing! I also love the upbeat tempo of the song.
From Vol. 1 I got "Don't Stop Believin'" I love, love that song and they sing it really well! I have that song stuck in my head for days. But that's a good thing :)
I got "I Dreamed A Dream" from this CD. "Wow" is all I can say. Idina Menzel is on the song and is awesome {as usual} and it's a great version of the song!
I also got "Steal Your Rock N' Roll" from Memphis. It's a very upbeat song and very hum-able. :) It would be and is a great song to dance to.
I know I was soooo against this musical earlier but one song on the whole CD is worth listening to, and that is "Boulevard of Broken Dreams" I really like that song and it gets stuck in your head as well. That song is the only "clean" song on the whole CD I believe. {There's alot of swearing in that musical :( }Well, that's my most recent listens, let me know if you like any of those songs or anything related to them!
What are you doing today? I have a appointment with the torturer of my poor mouth, aka the orthodontist. :I
But I hope they have new news about how much longer I need my braces on! :)

ThE ToNy AwArDs!
Oh. My. Goodness. The Tony's were so fun to watch! I loved all the snippets from different shows, including Fella! , Memphis , La Cage Aux Folles , Promises, Promises , Come Fly Away , Every Day Rapture , A Little Night Music , Million Dollar Quartet , Ragtime and American Idiot.
None of the things I wanted to win won anything. But that's okay, 'cause Matthew Morrison sang! He is so good! Lea Michelle also sang and was amazing, she reminds me of Idina Menzel....alot! Kristin Chenoweth didn't sing but was one of the announcers and was hilarious! See the video here
Oh, and Katie Holmes and Daniel Radcliffe announced some Tony winner. They stood next to each other {duh!} and Daniel Radcliffe looked like a 10 year old 'cause Katie was sooo tall! That was my funny moment.
And all the dresses were ah-mazing! Idina Menzel's dress was probably my favorite. But there is a list @ Broadway.Com of the top 5 best dresses on the red carpet..... it's here.
There was number from Ragtime preformed but it was probably the most boring song from the show, but is really good. The song they preformed from Memphis was so exhilarating! Did I mention they won the Tony for "Best Musical" ? Well, they did and were so excited! Oh, and Green Day preformed {Yuck! I'm sorry but I don't like them at all. Listen to Third Day not Green Day!}
Also I was really excited when Denzel Washington received a Tony for his performance in Fences. Go Mr. Washington! And I think Kate Finnernan delivered the best acceptance speech, it was really inspiring to me {who love theater}

Phantom of The Opera Pt.2
Hiya! How you doing’? I hope the answer is “yes!” :D
Today {Thurs. is when I’m writing this} I had the opportunity to see Broadways longest running musical in history {It’s been on Broadway consecutively for about 22 years! Wow!} I’m talkin’ ‘bout Phantom of the Opera ! It was sooo good! I loved it! I highly recommend it.
So, I though maybe you’d like to hear my thoughts on the amazing musical.
The sets and the curtains {Yes, I did say curtains} were amazing. The curtains I’m talking about are let down in the stage area. They had about 4 or 5 different curtains. All them were made up of gorgeous fabrics of different colors and textures. And after it was over, I got to see the chandelier {The curtain was up and all the set pieces were viewable from the auditorium} That thing was way cool! It’s huge! One of the best set pieces I’ve seen onstage.
The costumes! Oh, one of the wonderful things of theater is the costumes! Christine’s costumes were gorgeous. My favorite one was the robe she wears when the Phantom takes her to his labyrinth underneath the opera house. I so want to make it. The dresses that Carlotta and Christine wore all had full skirts and bustles. I believe my Mom said they were clothing of the Edwardian Era. Any who, they were cool!
The actors bring characters to life within these wonderful stories people write for the stage. There were quite a few onstage today. The Phantom is played by Tim Martin Gleason on this tour {He’s taken on the role of Roual in Phantom of the Opera on Broadway or on tour for about 7 years.} Well, we got to the theater, sat down and realized that the understudy was playing the Phantom today. His name is Stephen Tewksbury, and he was really good! His voice was great, thought not as great as Michael Crawford! :D {I LOVE Michael Crawford’s voice! Listen to one of his Cds sometime and you’ll see what I mean. He also played the original Phantom in 1988} The guy who played Raoul {Sean MacLaghlin} was good as well. His voice wasn’t stunning but wasn’t terrible either. Christine {Trista Moldovan}, well, she had a lot of vibrato in her voice. I don’t if that’s how she sings or if Christine is supposed to sing like a opera actor. I didn’t like her voice, but that’s just me. Though she was very pretty. Her smile was dazzling.
Emotional things, well it made me cry more than once! :P I saw Lion King at the Wharton Center last year and the first song {“Circle of Life”} made me cry. I have no idea why, it’s one of the happiest songs in the musical. But I still cried. Not because I was sad, jus because I was happy and it was breathtaking. Phantom.. was no exception! I cried during the “Overture” {Have you ever listened to it? It’s powerful music played by an organ!} and that scene was awesome! The second time was at the end {I don’t know who would not cry then} Oh my, that was heartbreaking when the Phantom lets Raoul and Christine go, and he disappears. It’s just sad and I like it like that :D
Well, that’s all I have to SAY but I have things to show you….
Goofing off in the car…
Mug Shot :P
Standing by the poster!
