A Totall Confession Post

i need to apologize. i need to confess. i'm hoping to get it all out in this post and possibly a picture thrown in as well. this post is inspired by Carlotta who is one of my all time favorite blogger and she's amazing. :)

confession: i have been totally lazy in posting, finding things to post about {i can blame facebook for it} which resulted in not posting at all, which i'd like to apologize for. to the 75 followers i still have: you guys rock!

confession: i need to post more. possibly posting one picture a day and then posting about it. how does that sound?

confession: i love country music. it's a new found love, and i can't say i regret it. the singers {think Reba, Taylor Swift, Carrie Underwood and Miranda Lambert, i don't have a favorite guy country singer so i just listed my favorite female vocalist} all have amazing strength in their voices and all the songs are catchy and just totally dance-able... whose your favorite singer?

confession: i strongly dislike math tis year...seriously, who's idea was it to mix numbers AND letters????

confession: i'm being lazy/creative {it's all how you look at it} and using lower-case letters in this post...if you haven't already noticed ;)

confession: i often forget i'm only 14 and have my whole life ahead of me and want to do everything all at once. or do something i want to do right now and then remember the fact i'm only 14 and have a whole life ahead of me. is this just me?

confession: i want to learn to figure skate...just learn  the basics and learn how to do those fancy spins *sigh* any skaters out there?

confession: i'm obsessed with bokeh... since my camera {a Nikon Coolpix L100} won't let you adjust aperture, getting a bokeh shot is about 50/50 so i just drool over other images with fantastic bokeh.... what photography technique do you love?

confession: i'm a horrible writer, i rather say things with my pictures. this year i really want to work on that. i've kind of started by written creatively in my journal {i've written in a journal daily for about 4 years now. i'm really proud myself. it's so fun to look back and see what you were doing that day 4, 3, 2, and 1 year ago.} rather than writing just what i did that day, i pick an idea from a bowl i have filled with journaling ideas and do that for that day. i might do that someday for my blog....

i'm all confession-ed out, i feel lot better after i've gotten all this out and shared you with you all! thank you for reading this and my blog...

Miscellaneous

I'm sorry for my lack of posts, but life can get crazy! So this is going to be a hodge-podge post, just be warned! :P

1.) my birthday was yesterday! I turned 14 and it was like the best birthday I've ever had! Everyone actually remembered it was my birthday {people sometimes forget} and I was sung the "Happy Birthday" song three times...Once at my percussion class, four little girls from the pay sang to me at the cast party {more on that later}, and everyone from the cast party sang as well. At the last time, I almost cried 'cause it was all so sweet. I had so much fun! The people in my cast are the best! :)

2.) 5 dozen cupcakes are alot of cupcakes to frost all by hand! :) I took cupcakes to Delta and to the cast party...Everyone seemed to like them!

3.) cast parties are the best! We had one at the lady who plays "Ma Bailey" 's house and it was a blast to just hang out and talk to all the people I've come to know and appreciate over the course of 8 weeks. Sadly, that time is coming to a close..... :(

4.) our performances are going very well, this Saturday and Sunday are THIS CLOSE to being sold out...which is great but very nerve-wrecking! And Sunday is going to be awesome because my family and Bridge's family are coming and also 3 friends of mine are coming. Tonight, Sat. possibly some other friends are coming {if they can get tickets}

5.) a cold is  going around the cast, which is very bad! Our Mr. Potter's voice last night was terrible. He had gotten the cold and he couldn't project well enough so they microphoned him and it helped a little but he still sounded really sick. I feel really sorry for him. But I have the feeling I have a touch of it and this morning I had tea w/ lots of honey and some garlic o help w/ it. I feel fine but I think I'll get sick after it's all over. Oh, well....

I hope I haven't bored you all, but  hope to get back to posting more regularly after Sunday!
Love,
Josie

Rehearsal Fun

Yesterday we had an early rehearsal and there was a potluck and I brought cheesy potatoes {my favorite potluck dish!} and tried to take as many pictures as I thought I should. I still don't have very many good ones :(  But I still have 2 weeks. But have a look!

They got the marquee up! :)

I hope you all enjoyed these pictures, hopefully more to come...

On a sad note, my sister lost one of her angora goats yesterday. We think she died because she ate a plastic tie that she had found somewhere. It's Gabbi's first "big" animal to die {no, goldfish don't count}, so if you could keep her in your prayers, that'd be very appreciated. :)

I've decided I'm going to wait to launch my photography blog, "Still Memories". And then I'll launch it on January 1st, 2011. I just wanted to let you all know about that....

Love,
Josie

.: of auditions and farmer's market:.

Okay, my life has been crazy this past week! In a good way though. :)
On Monday night I got to hang with my awsome friend Brittany and we watched a "Pirates of the Caribean" movie. I think we watched #2. I love those movies!!!! Jonny Depp is too good! :)

On Tuesday I had Science co-op {I'm studying Physical Sci.} and this past module has been about air, yeah, air. We learned aout how some of the research for Global Warming is wrong and did you know that the air was more polluted in the 1970's????

That night my BFF Bridget and I went to go audition for the play, "It's A Wonderful Life" and it was alot better then I had anticipated, which I so thankful for that! The director was awesome and he made a point to make everyone feel welcome. I read the part of Violet about 3 different times and once for Mary.

On Wednesday, Bridget and I went to the second night of auditions and the director had me read he same part for Violet again and again and again! I think I have that part memorized. For a little bit if looked like he was trying to decide between me and Bridget for Violet. After the audition he told us he deffintel had parts for both of us.....So call backs are frm tonight {thurs.} to Friday and I'm getting nervous, but not to bad.

I'm really happy with my experience especaily  since it was my first time auditioning for anything! And the show will be playing at a really neat theater {or at least that's were the auditions were} it has a marquee and really cool lightbulbs and I'm itching to take pictures of! So cross your fingers! :P

Here are some pictures I took last Saturday when we went to a farner's market just down the street from the theater.

I'm SoRrY!

Hello blogger!!!! I've missed all you guys! :) Well, I've been crazy busy this past week w/ out County fair. It was alot of fun! If any of you missed it.....you missed something big! Just kiding.

I did very well on my still exhibits and am very glad. G showed her goats and some of her chickens and N showed her chickens and her rabbit. It was N's 1st year showing her rabbit and didn't do so well. :( G also did speed on a horse. She didn't gallop because she's a "Walk/Trotter" which is aka a kid who hasn't been showing more than 1 or 2 years so they only can walk and trot..... But she did ok.

Here's a schedule on what happened on what days:

Tues. was the 1st day of fair and goats was in the morning. G showed her goats.
Wed. I worked in the 4-H food both :) Working in there is something you do every year and don't like it that much but you have to do it. And  chickens and hogs were shown that day too. Oh! And public speaking. {I did a dramatic reading and loved doing it}I also rode the carnival rides. :)
Thurs. Rabbits were shown and the cows aswell.
Fri. It was pleasure on horses {Western and English} and the rodeo. :) The rodeo was awesome. Since it was Friday night there was a lot of creepy people out and about the fair grounds. I rode some rides w/ my friend Anna. That night was really unsettling 'cause our 4-H leader's youngest daughter went missing for over a hour and another girl's purse was stolen by a druggie. :( We did find Taylor on our way out and I was so gratefull she was ok!
Sat. G did speed and I rode the rides {again} I had a great time and made some new friends :) And I rode a ride I was scared of and I was happy w/ myself. :) It was the last day and I hate last days of things....they are so melancholly. :( But it was a great day!

I took some great pictures but I don't have time to share them all so here are my favs.

4th Of JuLy WeEkEnD

Hello every one in bloggy world! I know every one has posted about the 4th of July, but I haven't. Well, I'm posting now.

On Friday Aunt Suzanne arrived. She's a Ford woman.....

Her two dogs were running around our yard and our 3 mo. old chicks were out {They are let out in the afternoon to be free-range chickens} and we thought they'd be fine. Think again. Tucker and Bongo {The dogs who are no larger than a beagle} had been playing rough w/ some chickens and the playing hard took a toll. We lost 5 chickens. After we took care of it, we headed to our local ice cream shop.

I got Cherry Cheesecake.

The banners over the shop.

T's shoes

Tiptoes.....

I love this shot. You can see the dirty toenails.

We came home and Daddy started a huge fire. The camera we have doesn't take good pic of fire w/ the color setting very well. So, I experimented w/ the colors.

B+W

Sepia

Canotype. I liked this setting the best.

Saturday- We went to the fire works close to us with some friends. It was alot of fun.

These pics aren't the best but they were the best of the pics I took. {And there was alot!}

This shot is great as well, I love it!

This is Aunt Suzanne's dog Bongo

And Tucker, she's such a sweetie-pie.
Sunday- Was the actual 4th of July, we went to church and didn't do much. Aunt Suzanne, Mommy, N, G and I went to Michael's to get fair project supplies. And later that evening we watched a Little House On The Prairie and some of Anne of Avonlea. We also caught some of the fireworks near to us.

Monday-We had some families over and had a fish fry. We fried some fish Daddy and another family caught. It was a lot of fun! The kids swam and grown-ups talked.
